Electricity Plan Consultation

From the outset, the design and construction of high-voltage transmission networks have been core activities in MaxGlobal operations, and the company has been involved in key projects involving lines of 132 kV and above constructed in Kenya and Uganda. At the same time, MaxGlobal experts has played a key role in the construction of networks in several european locations ranging from Finland, Italy, Greenland, Norway and Sweden, operating in a wide variety of challenging geographic and climatic conditions. MaxGlobal provides clients with a one-stop range of professional services and solutions relating to all aspects of engineering as applied to power transmission network design and construction based on local as well as international standards, including Celenec, Eurocode and ASCE. At the same time, contracts, tenders and other documents are prepared to FIDIC standards.

Smart Grid Systems & Solutions

Smart grid” generally refers to a class of technology people are using to bring utility electricity delivery systems into the 21st century, using computer-based remote control and automation. These systems are made possible by two-way communication technology and computer processing that has been used for decades in other industries. They are beginning to be used on electricity networks, from the power plants and wind farms all the way to the consumers of electricity in homes and businesses. They offer many benefits to utilities and consumers — mostly seen in big improvements in energy efficiency on the electricity grid and in the energy users’ homes and offices.

MaxGlobal has partnered with key stakeholders from industry, academia, and governments to modernize the nation’s electricity delivery system. MaxGlobal and its partners identify research and development (R&D) priorities that address challenges and accelerate transformation to a smarter grid, supporting demonstration of not only smart grid technologies but also new business models, policies, and societal benefits.

Energy Transmission

Three kinds of power lines exist between AEP’s customers’ homes and businesses and the company´s power plants.

  • Extra high voltage (EHV) transmission lines
  • High voltage transmission lines
  • Distribution lines

To use an analogy, EHV lines are like electrical highways, high voltage lines are like limited-access two lane roads, and distribution lines are like your residential roads leading to your driveway.

Power Engineering

We have a team of highly skilled power systems engineers whose input is valuable in system design as partakes to the generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electric power and the electrical devices connected to power systems including, but not limited to, generators, motors and transformers.
